My Favourite England XI – Phil Knaggs

by Addis Army Cricket

The only criteria for selection is you have had to have seen the player live in any format or level of cricket!

Alastair Cook – 12,472 reasons why. Top bloke also.

Mike Atherton – These two openers should get you off to a steady start

Joe Root –  Yes, batting at 3 but coming in at 150-1 after 65 overs would suit his game

Kevin Pietersen – Genius with a bat in his hand.

Paul Collingwood – Surprisingly choice, but made the best of his limited ability. Quality fielder.

Ben Stokes – All 3 disciplines

Ian Botham – Say no more, only saw him in his twlight years for Durham.

Jack Russell –  Quality keeper. I’m sure i saw him Durham v Gloucester back in the day.

Graeme Swann – Control with the ball and could rattle a few quick runs down the order.

Steve Harmison – On song he could hurl it down.

Jimmy Anderson – Control, swing and 10 million wickets.
