Q: What was your first overseas Test match?
A: Durban, 2004.
Q: What is your most memorable overseas Test match you’ve seen?
A: Two. Durban as it was the first game the AA attended and Grenada, as that was my first overseas win!
Q: Who is your favourite current England player?
A: Ben Stokes.
Q: Who is your favourite England player of all time?
A: Ian Botham.
Q: Who is your favourite opposition player of all time?
A: Shane Warne. His record speaks for itself but his performances in the 2005 Ashes, were superb.
Q: What is your favourite overseas Test ground any why?
A: Cape Town. A simply stunning ground.
Q: Which country is your favourite to tour and why?
A: West Indies. The cricket there hasn’t been great of late however, the atmosphere, locals, islands and non-cricket activities are brilliant. The Rum ain’t half bad either!!
Q: Of all the cities/towns you visited on tour, which is your favourite?
A: Outside of the Windies, I’ll plump for Cape Town and Colombo. CT is a great city for lots of reasons and Colmobo was simply fun, from minute one!
Q: What is your most memorable non cricket moment on tour?
A: Managing to book a room in the Mount Lavinia hotel (Colombo), last minute and at a significantly cheaper price than Herby got it for, many months earlier!! I also managed to convince him that my room had a snooker table and jacuzzi. Mug. Closely followed by having my very own local gangster, as a chauffeur, for the entire Barbados test. Uber don’t have anything on Junior Taxis.
Q: What do you enjoy most about touring?
A: The camaraderie. It’s a crazy group of people, from all walks of life, who share a passion for the game and have a damn lot of fun watching it.
