With the start of the County Championship upon us I’ve put together the Ultimate Post 1970s Addis Army Fantasy Knock-out Competition. If you’re reading this you’ve obviously got some time to spare so here’s something to fill your time!
Going back to the 1970s I’ve looked through the archives and compiled what I believe are the best X1’s for each county, made up for English qualified players. The criteria I used was:
1. I had to have seen them play
2. They must be qualified to play for England
3. They must have had played more than a handful of games for the county
4. Players can play for more than one county
Your challenge is now to find out which is the best X1 among all of the 18 counties.
I have split the counties into four groups – randomly drawn. Who do you believe would win each group? Email us your chosen four counties to addisarmycricket@hotmail.co.uk, we will then collect the votes and the top four counties will go into a semi-final draw, which we reveal next month, where we will ask you to vote for the semi final and final winners.
Cheers Tremers
