Saint Q&A

Q: What was your first overseas Test match?
A: Mohali, India, March 2006

Q: What is your most memorable overseas Test match you’ve seen?
A: Ooh, tricky, I’ve loved them all to a degree. Perhaps Mumbai 2006 victory.

Q: Who is your favourite current England player?
A: Changes each match! Oh go on then, Joe Root

Q: Who is your favourite England player of all time?
A: Ian Botham (though less so as a man!) and/or Flintoff can’t choose!

Q: Who is your favourite opposition player of all time?
A: IVA Richards

Q: What is your favourite overseas Test ground any why?
A: Galle, Sri Lanka. The Ancient Fort overlooking the Oval, Unawatuna just down the road, sea, and old town just there. Wonderful.

Q: Which country is your favourite to tour and why?
A: Sri Lanka. Beautiful coastal resorts, sub-continental buzz, friendly locals, lush rain forest around Kandy, stunning scenery, and 1 hour Tuc Tuc rides with you changing punctured tyres and carrying two big lumps (us) plus two big lumps of baggage!

Q: Of all the cities/towns you visited on tour, which is your favourite?
A: Galle

Q: What is your most memorable non cricket moment on tour?
A: Ignoring drunken escapades (getting a tuc tuc to the other side of the ground in Columbo as the beer queue was shorter and being filmed going round the roundabout when returning with the produce); Seeing Golden Eagles soar up past my chilly room at Shimla India and/or seeing Blue Whales on a boat tour off Sri Lanka.

Q: What do you enjoy most about touring?
A: Camaraderie, new sights, smells, places, people, adventures, and you get hot sunny days watching England play cricket!
